Cosine Similarity

Kosinus-Ähnlichkeit

A normalized version of the dot product that ignores the length of the arrows and only measures the angle between them. The result runs from -1 (opposite) to +1 (identical). AI search tools use it to decide whether two pieces of content cover the same topic.

Example

King → Emperor: 0.71 (very similar). King → Toaster: -0.6 (completely different).

Eine normierte Variante des Skalarprodukts, die die Länge der Pfeile ignoriert und nur den Winkel zwischen ihnen misst. Das Ergebnis liegt zwischen -1 (Gegenteil) und +1 (identisch). KI-Suchwerkzeuge bestimmen damit, ob zwei Inhalte dasselbe Thema behandeln.

Beispiel: König → Kaiser: 0,71 (sehr ähnlich). König → Toaster: -0,6 (völlig unterschiedlich).
