Cosine Similarity

Kosinus-Ähnlichkeit

Like the dot product, but normalized — so the length of the arrows doesn't matter. Only the angle counts. Result between -1 (opposite) and +1 (identical). This is how AI search tools determine if two pieces of content are about the same topic.

Example

King → Emperor: 0.71 (very similar). King → Toaster: -0.6 (completely different).

Wie das Skalarprodukt, aber normiert – sodass die Länge der Pfeile keine Rolle spielt. Nur der Winkel zählt. Ergebnis zwischen -1 (Gegenteil) und +1 (identisch). So bestimmen KI-Suchwerkzeuge, ob zwei Inhalte dasselbe Thema behandeln.

Beispiel: König → Kaiser: 0,71 (sehr ähnlich). König → Toaster: -0,6 (völlig unterschiedlich).
