Chain-of-Thought (CoT)

Chain-of-Thought (Gedankenkette)

A prompting technique where you tell the AI to think step by step. It makes fewer mistakes because it writes down its reasoning instead of immediately guessing. Like showing your work on a math test — it helps the AI too. Useful for complex GTM analysis like deal scoring or territory planning.

Example

Instead of asking 'Is this a good lead?', prompt: 'Think step by step: What industry is this company in? What stage are they? Do they match our ICP? Then give a lead score from 1–10.'
